விலங்குகளில் நிறம் மாறுபவை பற்றி கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம். தன்னை பிற விலங்குகளிடமிருந்து தற்காத்துக்கொள்ள அடிக்கடி நிறத்தை மாற்றிக் கொள்ளும் பச்சோந்தி பற்றி நாம் அறிவோம்.

செடிகொடிக்குள் நின்றால் தன் உடலை பச்சை, மஞ்சளாகவும், மரப்பட்டையில் நிற்கும்போது கருப்பும், காபி வண்ணமும் கலந்ததுபோல உடலின் நிறத்தை மாற்றித் தப்பித்துவிடும்.
